Nobly: A next-generation iPad point of sale.

6 months · iPad, Web

An iPad EPOS system with a powerful back office for bars, cafés, restaurants and other hospitality businesses.

The challenge

Nobly wanted a fast, intuitive iPad EPOS interface, redesigned for businesses that need a more open and highly customisable experience.

The approach

  1. Information architecture. Working sessions with the client to define goals and requirements, and a large information architecture for an efficient experience.
  2. Wireframes. Wireframes for each main application, focused on interactions and user flows before visual design.
  3. Prototype and test. Clickable prototypes tested with users, with weekly client presentations to move quickly.
  4. Design. A simplified interface with customisable options, iterated until it met user satisfaction.

The result

A next-generation iPad EPOS that lets venues set up in minutes without expensive onboarding or support contracts, with easy reporting and multiple payment methods integrated in one place.
